The Ktown Walking Food tour is a four course dining and social experience. Your tour will include a welcome drink, two appetizers, an entree, and a dessert and will visit four unique restaurants. There is an additional alcohol pairing available for guests over 21 years of age.
While the precise route, restaurants and menu changes by time of year and seasonal availability of ingredients, the flat 1.5 mile walking tour is always delicious. Here is an illustration of the type of items we have enjoyed in the past:
- Kimchi and chorizo fried rice empanada with kimchi aioli.
- Mul Naengmyeon – A sweet, sour, and savory cold soup with buckwheat noodles, asian pear, cucumber, green onion, radishes, and boiled egg in homemade chicken stock.
- Six traditional Oaxacan moles from world renowned chefs.
Smoky, sweet, spicy braised short ribs Korean BBQ with traditional “banchan” or “side dishes” which include kimchi, pickled radishes, candied lotus root, and marinated mung bean sprouts. Wrap it all in a crisp cold lettuce leaf, and enjoy!
- A handmade donut from one of the most revered LA donut bakeries for the past 30 years.
- A handmade sweet red bean steam bun.
While we love the diverse ways our guests choose to eat, we can only accommodate vegetarians, pescatarians, gluten-free or pregnant guests. We unfortunately cannot accommodate any other dietary restrictions, allergies or food preferences at this time, as there simply isn’t always a “next-best” option. Please note that this tour may include nuts, dairy, seafood, and pork.
Please bring a printed copy of your confirmation email to the event.
While the tour is only a short 1.5 mile flat route, we do encourage footwear and clothing that are comfortable for walking.
While food and drinks are included in the price of the tour, gratuities for the tour guides are not so you might consider bringing some cash in the event you would like to tip.
Most importantly, a sense of fun and adventure!
