Our bloggers take amazing photos with the best photographic equipment. We upped the size of landscape photos to give you a bigger and brighter view of the place in the feed and in the article.

Back by popular demand, we moved the distance slider back to the feed to make it easy to zip back and forth between near and far. Just tap the Distance icon to display the slider and tap again to hide it.

We moved My Stuff up to the top left of the screen (profile icon) to make room for the distance slider icon. You still have access to all the great Articles you save and Authors you follow.

We improved the algorithm for the different feed sorts to ensure you are always getting a taste of some fresh new places.

We’ve loaded a ton more booking options to make it simple to make plans and go to the places you discover. More on the way!

We’ll have a lot more adventures for you folks by the time you’re getting ready to put on that Halloween costume.

Tap to Book!

We want to make it simple not only to find great things to do but also to go do them. In this release, we integrated booking options directly into each article. Get tickets for the show, reserve a seat with OpenTable, book an adventure with Viator (TripAdvisor), explore with Headout, get there with Uber, and more. Just tap the booking option that looks best and boom, you can reserve right there. Magic! Tons of options today and a boatload more coming in the days and weeks ahead.

Share is Better!

We overhauled the page your friends get when you share an article with them (example). Not only do they get a big beautiful preview, there is a now an address, a map, tap for directions, the phone number, the website for the location, stats on how popular the article is on Findout and a direct link to the Findout Expert’s website. Making plans with friends is now that much easier!

We wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the great feedback. The reviews on the AppStore have been amazing and we love all of you who reached out directly in the past weeks with the compliments, suggestions (we promise Android in January!) and requests to be added as the next Findout Expert. Much love and thanks from the whole Findout Team (Dave included)!

We’re very happy with the first reviews coming in after our 24.0 release. Thank you to Appolicious and AppZoom.

We are building Findout the way we would want to use the app, with users at the forefront; so there are no banner ads, no registration requirements, no requests to access your contacts or photos, just awesome full length expert recommendations for free.

We’re just starting.

If you have ideas or suggestions to help us make a better discovery app, you can participate to our ideaHunt, or vote for us on alternativeto.net.

Thank you!

What’s New in Version 23.0

– Map! We have completely overhauled the map making it amazingly useful and intuitive. You’re going to love exploring places near in far with the dynamic article rendering and preview responding to your zoom level.
– Near! We extended the great new toggle at the bottom of the feed to include a new sort option: NEAR. Near will sort the feed by distance giving you the closest options nearby.
– We are now live throughout the entire West Coast including Las Vegas and Hawaii and even down as far as Cabo San Lucas. Use the new Search feature to explore great destinations up and down the coast!
– You may notice some style and polish changes here and there that really brings the experience together! Dave the Developer is super excited about the new App Icon.
